Dr. Joel Moktar is a surgeon specializing in upper extremity (shoulder, elbow and wrist) surgery. He spent his undergraduate training at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and completed his medical school training at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Moktar completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Toronto. Following that, he completed a fellowship in upper limb surgery and trauma at Sunnybrook Hospital, he also completed a masters degree in Engineering and has an interest in Medtech innovation.

Dr. Moktar is a member of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA) and Canadian Shoulder and Elbow Society (CSES).  Dr Moktar's practice consists of upper extremity (shoulder, elbow, and wrist), pathology, and general Orthopaedic trauma
